VAC Master Instructor
Robert Cinco was born in the early 60’s in Cebu,
Philippines. He comes from a mixed ancestry of Filipino and Chinese.
Robert's fluency in three languages helped him learn, share and
combine the martial arts of his Chinese roots and of the Visayan
region.
At the age of 12 Robert was introduced by a family
friend to the art of Combat Judo, Aikido and Kung Fu (Choy Li
Fut, Ngo Cho Kun & Tai Chi) after excelling in those arts,
he met Grand Master Jose Go one of the most famous martial artist
in the Philippines and founder of the Tat Kun Tou system.
Robert was so impressed with the practicality
and the skill of GM Jose Go and his Tat Kun Tou system, he started
training immediately. Jose Go's system covers defensive/counter
techniques through various ranges of fighting distances with or
without weapons. Jose Go also introduced the Balintawak stickfighting
system to Robert.
Master Robert Cinco has also trained with many
Great Masters such as GM Gregrio "GoYong" Ceniza (Arnes
de Diablo), M-Sergio Arcel (Balintawak), M-Manuel Tze (Ku-Jutsu)
and M-Ramon Velez (Balintawak).
Robert's quality of instruction reflects his dedication
to VAC and to his students, he simply refuses to cut corners during
his classes. Every technique must be clear, precise and practiced.
Master Robert has over 20 years of experience
teaching in Asia and North America in the traditional and practical
Chinese & Filipino martial arts. He continues to learn from
his masters as he constantly fine-tune and press himself for more
